Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quality inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using established procedures and specifications.
- Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, for accurate dimensional measurement.
- Document inspection results thoroughly, maintaining accurate records, and generating comprehensive quality reports.
- Identify and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and in-process checks to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in root cause analysis for quality defects and contribute to the implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve product quality and process stability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to uphold quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures, identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements.
